The Starcut is a magical symbol that can do many, many things!  Employed by the ancients as a central measure in creating temples and sacred spaces, the elegant proportions of the Starcut allow one to yield the proportions of all manner of natural phenomena – most notably the relationships between the Moon and the Earth, and the Earth and Mars.

What's more, the elegant proportions of the straight lines of this design end up creating a template for the world of music to spring into life.  If one were to string up all of the straight lengths as harp strings, tensioned equally, the simple difference in their proportions would create all the notes of the Western diatonic scale.  How magical is that?
